Start with a short answer or explore the details. See biblical places on a map, practice what you’ve studied, and save discoveries to revisit. Learn on your own, share with others, or carry your church’s Bible study into the rest of your week.

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.

3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Who is BEREA for?

People who want to become more familiar with the Bible, remember what they read, and explore questions along the way. You don’t need to be a theologian to begin. Different ways to read, practice, and study let you choose how deeply to engage.

Where does the name come from?

The name points to the Bereans in Acts 17, who examined the Scriptures. Pronounced buh-REE-uh, BEREA also stands for Biblical Education, Recall, Exploration & Answers.

How is BEREA’s AI grounded in Scripture?

Scripture comes first. BEREA’s Scripture-based AI assistance is designed to explain the biblical text and support answers with Scripture references, rather than present personal opinion as biblical authority. The Bible remains the authority. Read the cited passages in context and examine the answer for yourself.

Does everything work offline?

Bundled KJV and World English Bible reading can work offline. Scripture-based AI study, online maps, cloud services, and church content may need an internet connection.

Our approach02 / THE WORK

Built to make
a difference.

GoVerily Software was founded by Hardy Burnett to build software that helps people understand more, remember what matters, and put learning into practice. Our name gives that work its direction: go forward in truth. BEREA brings that purpose to Scripture study, connecting questions, explanations, maps, and shared challenges in one learning experience.

Build around a real need.

A feature should help someone do something that matters: understand a difficult passage, remember a lesson, or continue a church study at home. That practical value guides what we build.

Make the next step clear.

Keep the passage, explanation, and supporting references connected. Give people a clear path from a question to understanding, then a way to save, share, or practice what they’ve learned.

Earn trust through the work.

Check the content, test real tasks on real devices, and listen when people tell us something falls short. Use that feedback to correct problems and make each release clearer, more dependable, and more useful.
